The Sixth Annual Tiara Classic Mother’s Day 5K Race and Walk took place on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, with the start and finish at Oxford Creamery in Mattapoisett.
Pre-Registration and bib pick-up will took place on Saturday, May 12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Oxford Creamery.
Race Day registration opened at 7 a.m. The Children’s Fun Run started at 9 a.m. and the 5K Classic started at 9:30 a.m.
Individuals and teams registered for the race.
The Women’s Fund asked participants to bringing a non-perishable food item for donation to the Mattapoisett Food Pantry.
All kind of teams participated young and old and it was a great turnout. There were parents, children, families, strollers and even grandparents in the race.
BOLD Moves Real Estate had a team ready to hand out water at Ned’s Point. Although it was a chilly day, the water was a welcome relief to the runners and walkers. Kate Lanagan MacGregor was on hand to cheer everyone on and take lots of pictures.
