FORM Concert at Old Rochester Regional High School

The Annual FORM Concert was held at Old Rochester Regional High School last night.  FORM or Friends of Old Rochester Music holds the annual concert each year to raise money for music scholarships and also to have the tri-town students perform for and with each other.

All the tri-town schools were present.  Rochester Memorial School Band started the evening led by Mrs.  Chris Williamson.  Old Hammondtown of Mattapoisett followed led by Mrs.  Emily Lafleur.   Sippican School of Marion was up next on the agenda led by Mrs. Hannah Moore.   The Old Rochester Regional Junior High Grade 7 and then Grade 8 Band was next, led by Mr. James Farmer.  The Old Rochester Regional High School Band then finished off the individual band performances led by Mr. Michael Barnicle.

The Highlight of the night was the last performances by all these bands together to form the Old Rochester Regional District Concert Band.  There was a lot of adjustments to get all 530+ students all together with their instruments but the older students helped the younger and they all came together to play Star Wars and Grand Old Flag.  It truly was a spectacular sight to see all the students playing together in perfect timing.

Next week FORM will host the Choral Concert at the High School once again next Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 6:30 pm.   I’m sure it will be as spectacular as the Band Concert last night.
